Privacy

Privacy is part of the design.

Callioner is being built with privacy-conscious defaults and clear controls over how communication features are used.

Information we use

Depending on the features you use, Callioner may process:

  • Your phone number for account verification and secure contact matching.
  • Callioner profile information such as your display name and username.
  • Messages and conversation information needed to provide messaging functionality.
  • Technical information required to operate, maintain, and protect the service.

Contact discovery

Contact names remain on your device and are not uploaded to Callioner servers. Phone numbers from your contacts may be processed only as needed to determine whether people you already know use Callioner.

How information is used

Information is used to provide account and communication features, verify accounts, match contacts when you choose to use contact discovery, and operate, maintain, and protect the service.

Service providers

Callioner uses third-party infrastructure providers, including Firebase and Google services, to provide authentication, database, storage, and related application infrastructure.

Data retention and deletion

Callioner retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Account and data deletion options will be made available as the product moves toward wider public release.

Your choices

You can control device permissions such as Contacts, Camera, Microphone, and Notifications through your device settings.

Testing status

Callioner is currently in active testing. This privacy notice may be updated as features and data practices change before wider public release.
